We always start with a feasibility study to offer the customer certainty that the part to be produced with MIM will meet their (technical and financial) requirements. An important feature of this feasibility study is a design scan, with which we investigate the suitability of the product design for MIM. The outcome is that MIM, possibly after redesigning the product, is indeed suitable or that an alternative production technique is more suitable. For this purpose, we can make a trade-off between MIM and 3D printing. We also give our opinion about the manufacturability of the part, the tolerances and the requirements for material and application. At this stage, we can already provide a preliminary quote.
