Demcon MIM specializes in the use of stainless steel (SS), such as 316L and 17-4PH. Depending on the alloy chosen, we find the best balance between tensile strength and corrosion resistance for each application. Besides stainless-steel alloys, we also process low-alloy steels, nickel-balanced materials and other exotic materials. Since we mix our own feedstock, we can process most other metals available in powder form. We can advise our customers on all the different materials for their application. If standard materials are not sufficient, together we develop specialized materials. A recent example is the inclusion of fluorescent particles in our feedstock, for digital fingerprinting in the final product. This sets us apart from other MIM companies.
